RECOMMENDED LINK | Digital | Social Media: The makers of Bodyform got the social networks chattering this week by posting a clever comedic YouTube response to a Facebook post by a man claiming that the sanitary towel brand’s advertising over the years had misled him about what a woman’s life is like during her ‘time of the month’, by showing women participating in all kinds of exciting pursuits while on their period.

The post got 86,000 likes, but the brand’s speedy response, featuring a self-declared fictional CEO, has now had over 2 million views. A cynic might wonder whether Bodyform’s PR team were actually responsible for both the Facebook post and the speedy response, but either way, a great bit of social media marketing.
